Alan Silvestri’s incredible new score for The Witches was recorded in a very unique way..
Due to the pandemic, the music for the movie had to be recorded in a safe, socially distanced environment and in line with the UK Government restrictions. In order to comply with the 2m space rule between musicians, the score was recorded using both Studio 1 and 2 at Abbey Road at the same time, with the composer and director listening in and commenting on the session via Zoom.
Cliff worked with top UK conductor Gavin Greenaway – with each conductor directing the musicians in their own studio and then everything being mixed and streamed to the US by engineer Peter Cobbin.
The film is due to be release in 2021.
